Hon. Colonial Secretary,

New hygrometrical tables, in C.G.S. measure,

will be required when International C.G.S. units are adopted in

Hongkong, and it is very desirable that they should be construct-

-ed from the latest and most reliable data. Will Dr. Doberck

therefore be good enough to place the observations mentioned in paragraph 2 of his letter dated 19.1.17 at the disposal of the Director of the Royal Observatory, Hongkong, if he is unable to publish new tables within the next 6 months.
